WHAT WENT WRONG AT EARLE HAVEN NURSING HOME

The Morrison Government must immediately release the report it commissioned into what went wrong at the Earle Haven nursing home after more than 70 residents were evacuated from the facility in July.
The residents of Earle Haven have a right to know to what happened and why they were turfed out of their home without notice.
This is a Government that is allergic to transparency.
It is extraordinary that after the damning interim report of the Royal Commission into aged care the Morrison Government would withhold the release of this report.
The Minister for Aged Care and Seniors today confirmed he received the report on Thursday.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison must immediately release the report on Earle Haven so residents and their loved ones have some answers.
The events at the Earle Haven nursing home were absolutely appalling, shining a light on the hidden risks around Australia’s aged care system.
It is critical to the future of the aged care sector that families can have faith and confidence their loved ones will be safe and receive a high level of care in all residential facilities.
With the Royal Commission interim report revealing the failings of Australia’s aged care system it’s also time the Government acted.
Residents and their loved ones on the Gold Coast deserve answers and action from the Prime Minister.
