SAFER ROADS FOR HAWKESBURY HEIGHTS
CATHERINE KING MP
An Albanese Labor Government will bring safer roads to Hawkesbury Heights with a $1.8 million commitment to build a shared path for pedestrians, cyclists and families.
Running adjacent to Hawkesbury Road between Hawkesbury Heights Lookout and Winmalee High School, this fully paved shared path will mean locals can get off a narrow, busy road and instead get around their local community in comfort and safety.
Simply put, kids walking or riding to school shouldn’t have to share space with cars and heavy vehicles.
Mums shouldn’t have to push prams over rocks. Older residents shouldn’t be afraid to go out for a walk.
It’s unsafe and it’s an accident waiting to happen.
For over two decades the local community has been crying out for a better solution, but for nearly ten long years of Coalition Government this community has been left behind.
An Albanese Labor Government will listen and deliver the shared path that this community needs, bringing local jobs and better connections to families across this community.
