MALCOLM TURNBULL SHORTCHANGING STUDENTS WITH A DISABILITY
THE HON TANYA PLIBERSEK MP DEPUTY LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION SHADOW MINISTER FOR EDUCATION
Labor is very concerned by reports that Malcolm Turnbull isn’t giving students with a disability the funding they need to get a good school education.

Next year, the number of students with a disability that need support will jump by around 100 per cent.  But based on the latest information available, it seems Malcolm Turnbull is only increasing funding by about three per cent.

On average, that means under Mr Turnbull’s policy, support for students with a disability will plummet by around 50 per cent per student.
This could see many students miss out on the help they need.  It’s completely unacceptable.
Malcolm Turnbull has failed to explain how he will properly support students with a disability.
These students, their parents and carers don’t deserve this uncertainty.
Every Australian matters when it comes to school education.
