LABOR CONDEMNS VILE ANTI-SEMITIC ATTACK

Labor condemns the vile anti-Semitic attack on a Middle Park kindergarten over the weekend.
There’s no place for this disgusting hate in Australia.
In September last year, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry in their annual report revealed an alarming 30 percent rise in direct anti-Semitic attacks in Australia. The report showed that incidents involving direct verbal abuse, harassment and intimidation increased from 88 to 114, and graffiti attacks more than doubled from 46 to 95.
Labor stands in solidarity with the local community and all Jewish Australians.
Labor is also concerned at the alarming rise in neo-Nazi activity and symbols in Australia.
Australia needs urgent action to combat racism, we need a new national anti-racism strategy.
