ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW AUSTRALIA POST CEO

Today’s announcement of a new Australia Post CEO, only a day before a Senate Inquiry commences, confirms the Prime Minister and Communications Minister are making it up as they go.
Why was an appointment announced in a panic today, when the incoming CEO won’t be commencing until September 2021?
For the timing to be so provocative is not only disrespectful to the incoming CEO Mr Graham and the Senate, but shows Scott Morrison remains entirely consumed by short-term political management and has not learnt a thing from the past six months.
The Senate will proceed with its Inquiry tomorrow into the circumstances and process surrounding Ms Holgate’s departure and the Government’s cuts to postal services.
