MORRISON MUST CHOOSE, WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

The vast majority of businesses are planning to do the right thing on July 1 by passing on the legislated increase in superannuation contributions.

But some of our biggest and most profitable businesses are not.

ANZ posted a $3 billion half-year profit but told salaried staff on contracts they will be taking a pay cut when super increases by 0.5 per cent next week.

Not all banks are doing this.

Commonwealth Bank and NAB have both said they will pay the superannuation rise in full.

The Morrison Government needs to send a message to ANZ this is not on.

The increase in super contributions has already been delayed by eight years.

Real wages are already set to go backwards for the next four years under the Morrison Government.

If the Government gives a green light to ANZ to cut workers pay in order to meet their legal obligations, it will send a message to every other business in the country that that is OK.

Labor says it’s not OK.

The workers of Australia deserve to know whose side the Prime Minister is on.
