IT’S TIME TO CALL OUT MR MORRISON’S BS
SENATOR KRISTINA KENEALLY
Today, Labor is launching the BS Report, because it’s time to call out all the BS that comes from Mr Morrison.
For a while, “Scotty from Marketing” was a bit funny, but Mr Morrison’s relationship with the truth has gotten beyond a joke.
Mr Morrison said that no ineligible projects were funded through Sports Rorts. That was BS.
Mr Morrison said that all the stranded Australians would be home by Christmas. That was BS.
Mr Morrison said Australia would be at the front of the queue for vaccines. That was BS.
Let’s face it: Mr Morrison is never straight with the Australian people.
Labor won’t stand-by and let Mr Morrison BS anymore.
Today’s BS Report calls out Mr Morrison for using taxpayer’s money for his own personal sightseeing holiday in the United Kingdom.
Worse still, when caught out, Mr Morrison lied about it.
While in the UK, Mr Morrison visited three pubs, a historic jail, and a cemetery as part of his personal sightseeing holiday.
Mr Morrison told 2GB radio that his personal sightseeing was just by chance, and that he just happened to stop at a couple of places that happened to be on the way between the airport and the G7 meeting.
But, this is just more BS from Mr Morrison.
These side trips weren't spontaneous stop-offs, they weren’t on the way to the airport and, in fact, Mr Morrison made long detours off the road between the G7 meeting and the airport to do have his personal little overseas holiday. Mr Morrison’s office even spent weeks planning these sightseeing trips, including organising a British historian to research his family history before he left Australia.
This is just like when Mr Morrison gave a BS excuse that there was no problem with him being on holiday overseas while Australia burned, because, as he said ”I don’t hold a hose mate”.
That was BS then. And his excuse for his taxpayer-funded personal sightseeing trip is just more BS now.
Mr Morrison – he’s not straight with the public, and he’s not on your side.
